Classic-Sound Studios Ltd. was established in 2001 by two owner Gábor Juhos and Ádám Matz who have been working together as recording engineers since 1996. The studio was created in an old factory building of 500 square meters. Initially, the main focus of the company was the recording of symphonic works. Our experience with the genre itself and many productions of exceptional quality brought us to popular music. While retaining and refining the original focus on classical music, Classic-Sound Studios has become a major player in the popular music, crossover, musical and the television broadcasting scenes.
After 11 years of work with the factory-based studio and hundreds of completed records along with awards of excellence, the shift in the music industry compelled us to change. The new goal was to install a post production studio of the utmost quality in our own property.
Thus, in 2012 we established our current studio in downtown Budapest, just next to the Opera. The control room designed with 5.1 monitoring can be used for full-scale mixing and the pre-production of cinematic sound. The live room with the panoramic window can be used for recording 1-2 person post-production dubbing, voice-over narration, TV spots or musical overdubbing. Our orchestral works are recorded at an external location.
Mastering plays a very important role in the works of the studio, since in this case, special sound is provided by analogue outgears that are unique and well-known in the whole country. Classic-Sound Studio also engages in giving a final shape of high-quality recordings that were originally made in other countries or studios.
External recordings are made with a mobile studio. The material recorded on location is post-pruducted in our main studio environment.
We often receive commissions for recording or live broadcasting music-related TV programmes. Depending on client needs, these may be carried out without the TV crew with the mobile studio, or by TV OB Van which can be supplemented with the proper musical devices.
The main philosophy of Classic-Sound: “Professional technology at the service of Music.”, which is proven by the success of several acknowledged and awarded productions. Members of the studio do their best to become real creative partners of the musicians, by helping them to fulfill the high artistic expectations paired with excellent technical virtuosity.
